The Balatonfüred Police Headquarters has completed the investigation into the case.

Based on the available information, a 50-year-old woman from Budapest let her 14-year-old son drive her car on 9th August 2020, at around 10 a.m. in Csopak Street. The boy does not have a driver’s license due to his young age.

During their journey, the mother, who was seated as a passenger, was frightened that they were colliding with a parked car or another vehicle on the street, so she reached from the passenger seat to the driver’s side and turned the wheel to the right.

As a result of the sudden movement, the car slipped from the road, ran up to the curb, and finally was stopped by fire hydrant. No personal injury occurred in the accident.

The 50-year-old woman from Budapest was interrogated as a suspect on the basis of a well-founded suspicion of committing an offense of negligence in driving and violating road safety. The Balatonfüred Police Headquarters carried out the necessary procedural steps during the investigation and handed over the documents generated in the case to the competent prosecutor’s office.
