The Várpalota Police Headquarters is prosecuting a 40-year-old man from Berhida for theft and looting.
Police received an alert on the afternoon of February 8th, 2021, that an unknown person had stolen a bicycle in front of a shop in Berhida.
Police identified the alleged perpetrator, a 40-year-old local man, and arrested him in Peremarton within an hour of the report.
At the time of the arrest, the perpetrator had the stolen bicycle, which was seized by the police and then returned to its owner. The man was interrogated as a suspect.
Police also found during the proceedings that the man had taken cash from a house left open in Berhida on the morning of February 1st, 2021. In addition, on the evening of February 7th, 2021, he broke into another family home and stole cash from there, as well as a cell phone.
The suspect admitted committing the crimes. The perpetrator is being prosecuted for a well-founded suspicion of theft and robbery.
